Autism Awareness Event

Karima and Ahmed Asaad are parents to three children. Gabriel, their middle child, now seven years old, was diagnosed with autism at the age of four.  Not long after his diagnosis, Karima set about the challenging task of securing the right therapists, schools and caregivers to help her son be better understood and cared for. Last year, Gabriel started skateboarding and his mother saw that the positive impact it had on him was significant.

The event at Circuit X Skate Park offers an opportunity for children on the spectrum to be inspired as they watch other, more advanced skateboarders showcase their skills. Circuit X, developed by Modon Properties, is proud to host this monthly event for families of children with autism. The event also includes talks by experts from Intercare Health Center and New England Center for Children (NECC), entailing a Q&A session for both parents and children.
